The first step to overcoming addiction is to acknowledge that a problem exists but all too often mental illness or addiction is shrouded in secrecy. In this session, we'll discuss ways why breaking the stigma is the first step to finding freedom.

Youth Sanctuary: "YOUR LIFE MATTERS!" ( Allie Givens )

Depression and suicide rates are on the rise. Many people feel overwhelmed, discouraged, and lost  - but there is hope. In this session learn practical ways to manage these personal challenges and become a support for friends and family who are struggling. 

 

Children’s Auditorium: "Cultivating Resilience" ( Mike Burnett  / Gail Raynor )

Resilience is the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficult life events.Learn skills to build resilience in your own life and become a support for others who are facing challenges. 

Membership Room: "Understanding Dual Diagnosis" ( Devon Hillison )

What happens when mental illness and substance abuse co-exist? Participants will learn about dual diagnosis, problems encountered and management of co-occurring illnesses and support strategies.

"The struggle is real, experiencing Grace when we go through"

Everyone is affected by mental illness - either personally or in the lives of someone we love. This is why we need to talk about - especially in faith communities where there has been a culture of secrecy and silence. Learn about how we can shatter the silence and break the stigma of mental illness in the lives of believers.

"Hello Addiction, Meet Grace"

Learn about the pathology of addiction and relapse and how grace and community are the first line of defense in preventing mental illness and substance abuse.
